You'll never know the one who loves you so...well, you don't know me.

I Wonder...

Do you think that people are so caught up in this "idea",this...dream of a person they have accumulated in their brains, ...this fantasy model of perfection who they have designed as their future soulmate...

...that they miss out on someone right in front of their face?

...someone who may not be as "pretty/handsome" as this dream boy/girl...not possessing the right eye color, hair type, or skin color.

someone who has different interests...likes/dislikes/hobbies

someone who may even drive you absolutely CRAZY at times.

But, someone who never ceases to make you smile.

Someone who always knows what you're thinking...knows when you're not "okay"...knows when you are.

Someone who you could talk to for hours about nothing...

Someone who you could to for hours about lots of somethings...all the important things...never worrying about them judging you because you know they love you just the way you are.

Someone you don't mind having awkward silences with...because you're just happy to be with them.

Someone who is a really really really good friend...you'd classify as one of your very bests.

But,

you look straight past them to that girl/guy behind them who makes little butterflies accumulate in your stomach.

someone who you'd classify as "the hottie" ...someone who makes your palms sweaty and your heart race.

You don't see that amazing friend as anything because (possibly) of this idea you have of the person you want...this idea
of the woman/man you're going to marry.

You don't see it.

You look past it.

You ignore it.

You lose them.

They're just the friend. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just the friend. You love them. But, not like that.

Is this true? True sometimes, perhaps...I'm just rambling.

Are we so caught up in this dream world that we lose sight of reality? What is right in front of us?

Here's a quote from my favorite movie ever...(while you were sleeping)

"Do you believe in love at first sight? Nah, I betcha don't, you're probably too sensible for that. Or have you ever, like, seen somebody? And you knew that, if only that person *really* knew you, they would, well, they would of course dump the perfect model that they were with, and realize that YOU were the one that they wanted to, just, grow old with..."

I don't know if I had a point to this. I'm lacking in a conclusion...I'll let you come up with your own.

Forever "The Friend" ;),
